Would you eat a blue cake?

Yesterday was Monday. And Monday means Tumble Tots in Isla's Days. All of the climbing equipment was setup with the theme of opposites: climbing up a mountain, down a slope, putting feet in and out of ladder rungs, and going in and out of tunnels. Isla's favourite bit was some squidgy shapes that she had to climb up and then sit on as if she was riding a tractor so of course this was great, since tractors are one of Isla's favourite things in the world at the moment. The session was also Peppa Pig themed (very loosely) which mainly meant that all of the Tumble Tots staff wore pink piggy ears. They all commented on how lovely and smiley Isla is (I think she was just laughing at their silly ears). They also had a big stand up shape sorter for posting shaped bean bags through. Isla posted a couple of squares through the square hole, and triangles through the triangle hole etc which astounded the Tumble Tots helping lady and she said that Isla really knows her shapes. Of course, Isla then posted a circle through the square hole. But I still felt a proud glow.....!

Before we even thought about getting in the car to drive to Tumble Tots, and even before Isla had had any breakfast, she went to play in her little house. She managed to get her wellies on (wrong feet, good try though) and then toddled off to open and shut the windows a bit before Weetabix.

Isla was awarded a certificate and special badge:

I had bought a couple of cakes that were being sold at Tumble Tots in aid of the Tommy's children's charity. We had them after lunch:

Hmmmmm should I eat this blue cake????!!

I'll play safe and just eat the sponge

Today, we decided to create something fun from a spare Amazon box. I cut some holes in it and then we painted it:

Nice clean Isla + boring brown box + paint

= not so clean Isla + colourful box

We created a shape sorter extraordinaire!

While the shape sorter extraordinaire was drying, we went outside to play in Jura lodge.

Isla taught Charlie about stacking rings:

Both found this exhausting and decided to nap.......

......until an international phone call from "Microsoft" about a "problem with my computer" woke both up. It was time for more playing anyway....!
