Tuesday's Tomato and Wet Wednesday

Yesterday, Isla decided to pick the red tomato from our garden and munch it before trying to replace it on the plant! She also enjoyed a trip to the library, where they have a purple curvy seat, magnetic animals and a tunnel when we went to choose some new books.

Today we went to Lacock Abbey with Sam and Janine. We had a look around the photography museum,

also walked around the peaceful cloisters where Harry Potter was filmed,

and looked around the abbey house where we could try on different outfits and practise our dance steps!

We had lunch at the local pub while Isla napped and then we went home to play Wii and eat some carrot cakes!

Epic Pork and Carrot Cake

It rained today, just as the weatherman said, and predictably for a Bank Holiday Monday. Isla spent a lovely morning with her dad waiting in for the incredibly late tiler while I went to do the supermarket shop. In the afternoon we made some carrot cake cupcakes from this website: Carrot cake recipe

Then for dinner we had Epic Pork which is a slow cooked roast pork shoulder joint where the pork is shredded and served with home made BBQ sauce.

Above, Isla is enjoyinig her Epic Pork, and below she is eating a yoghurt whilst showing off her carrot cake decorated with hundreds and thousands.

Needless to say, we all feel incredibly full this evening!

Colourscape

This morning we went to 'Colourscape', which is a giant inflatable maze where each room is filled with a different colour. You can read more about it by clicking here: Colourscape

It was like being enveloped by a rainbow! A singer and cellist began playing some relaxing music in one of the chambers. The red chambers felt hot and very bright to be in, whilst the blue chambers were much cooler. Our capes seemed to change colour depending on the room and it was a very nice and unusual experience for everyone.

After Colourscape, where we saw some familiar faces including Ian, Lucy, Harry and Archie, we had a quick run around in the park. It was very sunny, especially for a Bank Holiday weekend!

When we got home Isla instructed us on how she wanted the doors to be painted.
