International Cat Rescue

This morning Isla went on a climbing expedition to discover the new heights of Our House, ably assisted by Chief Expedition Officer Daddy. Once at the summit of Our House, the explorers investigated the bathroom cupboard and shower tray before heading back down.

We all went to choose some carpet....

....where Isla was given a packet of Haribo sweets by the carpet shop man (not to be consumed by Isla for a couple of years at least and safely kept in my car in the mean time.....!). We all felt very pleased with deciding on carpet and lino so quickly and so treated ourselves to lunch at the local farm shop, where Isla also got to look at some tractors.

Then it was nap time.

During naptime, an International Incident occurred.

While Andrew was prepping and painting in the loft, Charlie was spotted on the scaffolding! He had climbed out of the loft window, slid down the slates and become trapped. Silly boy.

We tried placing a plank on the slates for him to grip to and walk up but by that stage he couldn't really be bothered, even after being offered some treats! So he had to be rescued (look away now Margaret!)

And was finally safe again, just as a thunderstorm started!

A new competitor entered the Block Building Championships held again in the living room arena:

Harry also enjoyed preparing refreshments for his little brother and dad, and everyone, with Isla's picnic set:

Archie wanted to take part in the refreshments and so went off for some milk from his mum after realising that unfortunately his uncle didn't have any for him!

There was time left in the day for some cat dancing, much to Isla's delight, before bed!

  1. Wow, what a bumper edition including almost everyone - well done Susan.
Margaret agrees that she would not like watching the rescue from the scaffold.
Liked Harry's haircut! Isla looks like a proper explorer with her pink ruck-sack.
