Ikea, Play Dough and a Party!

For Andrew's day off, we went on an adventure to Ikea with a long list of things to get. Isla loved Ikea! She enjoyed walking around all the rooms, looking in mirrors, and trying out furniture.

On Friday, we had a day at home. We made play dough, including some with glitter. Isla enjoyed squishing it with her feet best of all. Oh and also throwing it at my head, which was not that great.....!

After play dough, Isla played with some toys. Here she is unstacking her cups and playing a game of 'where is the mouse?'

The cats are often fed by Isla these days. She puts the biscuits in their bowl, however she then likes to play with the biscuits while the ravenous beasts are trying to gobble them up!

Today, Isla went to her friend Nuala's second birthday party. All of the children sat round a table and ate delicious chicken legs, sausages (with honey and mustard) and cheese on cocktail sticks stuck into a courgette creature. They had special marshmallows decorated with smarties for dessert, and of course jelly and ice cream! The sun is shining this morning and so all of the children could play outside in the garden.  Isla enjoyed the wendy house and rolling on the grass.
