Frosty walks

Back home after Christmas we steamed a homemade Christmas pudding that we had found at the back of our cupboard and set it alight. Evie had her eyes 'very peeled' as Isla says. We all got very excited and rushed outside when there was a flurry of snow.

We visited the park and Isla tried out her bike:

On Monday it was very cold.  We went for a walk to look at the frost and found some very thick ice on the puddles. Isla liked holding the ice and making it shatter. She wasn't heavy enough to smash the ice herself though.

After our icy walks we have been finishing off eating our gingerbread house and chocolate buttons, sometimes with our buggies parked up.

Everyday we have been going for walks and bike rides. To start with, Isla stood up walking along on her bike and we walked quite slowly looking at things around us and not going very far. After nearly a week of riding her bike, Isla's now getting faster and sits on the seat to push along, taking her feet off the ground sometimes.

One of Evie's favourite things is sitting and mark making while Isla gets on with some activities in old CBeebies magazines.
