Easter Holidays!

The Easter holidays were spent putting in a new kitchen, at the park, doing some cooking and going to the beach:

Isla went on a sailing course on the river and here she is in the dinghy:

Playing with gloop (cornflour and water):

Watching yeast blow up balloons:

Back at school, Term 2 has a few public holidays. We spent ANZAC day at a botanic gardens:

Evie found a damsel fly that she carried everywhere. 'Tommy' was released in our backyard:

We visited a hedge maze where we had to look for the seven dwarves and solve word puzzles. Once Evie and Isla realised they wouldn't get lost in the mazes, they really enjoyed the puzzles:

We've been adventuring on the mangrove boardwalk looking at crabs and a nesting osprey:

At the spit:

This weekend we escaped the beaches for a city break in Brisbane. We took a ride on the city hopper ferry to GOMA and the Queensland Museum. A highlight was the maritime museum:

Back home, Isla has loved some 'Flat Stanley' and 'Geronimo Stilton' books from the mobile library. Evie enjoyed weaving on a loom at bush playgroup:

Hope you all had a good April too and a nice start to May. xx
