Sandpitting

We've been enjoying the garden when the sun's been out! At the weekend we played out in the garden, with Evie investigating the sandpit for the first time. She got pretty wet and sandy but enjoyed playing with her sister. Isla did loads of bouncing on her trampoline and bouncy hopper.

This morning we went swimming and, after eventually finding a swimming pool with space for us (we're lucky to have a couple nearby for overcrowded swimming pool emergencies like this!) we all enjoyed splashing about. Isla was swimming about on her own with her armbands and liked finding different shaped floats and balls that were around for the children in the small pool to use. Evie liked watching all the other babies in the pool and also floating on her back looking at the ceiling.

We did our first baking in ages - Isla's choice of chocolate fairy cakes with pink icing and lots of sprinkles. Evie crawled about on the floor discovering fridge magnets for the first time. Later on today, Isla went out in the rain with her wellies and coat on and decided to hide in the flowerbed like the cats do!

  1. Those cakes look delicious. I like floating looking up at the ceiling, too. Glad that Isla is swimming about with armbands - takes me back to last summer in Spain.
