What is a farage?

One morning last week we were having breakfast with the radio on and Isla said "What's a Farage?"

She's also asked me:
"How do beetles and bees hear?"
"Are meows and woofs the way dogs and cats talk to each other?"

Isla told me about how she's going to have three babies when she is bigger. One for her to give milk to, one for Evie to give milk to and one for me to give milk to! "How old will you be when you have your babies?" I asked her. "Four" said Isla.

We went to a dog show and fair last weekend. Isla went on a little ferris wheel all by herself, enjoyed an ice cream and watched diggers dancing and sheep racing.

We've been out in the garden a lot, having fun with the ball pit and also going for some walks to the park and to see the farm animals near where we live.

Evie is crawling around the place and also loves pulling up to standing at the chairs, cupboards, dolls house and her music table. She loves music and starts dancing when she hears songs on the radio, or her toys or even if I'm singing to her sometimes.

We've had the paddling pool out the last couple of days because it's been about 25 degrees outside. Needless to say, we've been having a fair few lollipops in the garden and have also had the odd ice cream (chocoholic heaven flavour that we ate a lot of last year!).

In preparation for father's day, we made some homemade clay with bicarbonate of soda, cornflour and water for handprints. We used the ideas from this website. So now we have some colourful handprint pictures from both girls to display on the wall.

In the garden, we are on our third lot of beans, so hopefully the slugs and snails won't finish off our newest plants! Our tomato plants are slowly growing taller. We have three varieties: san marzano, moneymaker and our old favourite (and planted from seed!) gardener's delight.  Our pumpkin plants are quite big but our courgette plants didn't survive the slug onslaught. Might have to buy courgettes this year!
