Out and About in Spain

We took a trip to Moraira the other day, as the weather was a little more cloudy than normal. We had a potter around, looked at the boats, and stopped at a cafe for a cake and a coffee.

Isla trying to pull Andrew into a jewellery shop:

We came back and enjoyed a swim, with Isla wanting to try out her new armbands.

Helping sweep up the pine needles:

Doing some drawings (there was a colouring book down, we weren't teaching her graffiti)

The next morning, the sea had changed! There were proper waves and it reminded us of swimming on the West coast of France. Isla enjoyed the waves too.

Here is a video of her in the waves:

That afternoon, we took a short trip to the port to look at the boats.

This morning, we have mainly been relaxing by the pool.  Isla has also been learning some Spanish from a phrasebook.

  1. Movies too! We like the sound and movement of the waves - your water is a very different colour from Clacton. Like the water effects in the pool - difficult to paint but comes out well with your camera. Good that Isla sweeps up after herself! A & I

  2. Isla is turning into a real water baby, and it is good to see her enjoying herself so much in the sea and in the pool. Sweeping up the pine needles is a thankless task, but she seems to have mastered the technique. Have you had the pool lights on at night yet, as I am sure Isla would enjoy that?
Liked the family group photo after the pasta lunch!

  3. Thanks for your comments! We haven't shown Isla the pool lights at night yet, but she did come and have a look at the stars with us. She was amazed by them and kept pointing more out to us as it got darker.
